The follow-up to Simple Songs heralds a new time. I mentally call it "The one where I pick up a plectrum". Featuring songs as "Post-man", it takes place after the previous transitioning. To bring about that radically different feel, I introduced an electronic sound early on with an old keyboard from 1990.
It's about living again, and being able to appreciate where happiness comes from. Leisteen, or slate in English, is a type of stone very frequently used in the Ardennes region of Belgium for housing. Also, you can find it in pretty much every small river flowing through the region. Precisely those small rivers and their sense of courageous indestructability helps me put things in perspective, hence the album title.
